Far East to host Srilankan Food Festival

Far
East, the specialty Oriental fine dine restaurant
at Rodas Ecotel in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai is
hosting a 10-day Srilankan food festival beginning
Thursday November 16 to Saturday November 25 th
October.
The hotel is specially flying in two Chefs from
the island country, who will dish out authentic
traditional Srilankan delicacies for the discerning
guests. The chefs will be carrying homegrown spices
to add to the gourmet's delight.
Says, Punish
Sharma, the F&B Manager, "We wanted to
provide something different to our clientele and
that is the reason, we decided to get chefs from
Colombo to provide Lankan flavor". We have
teamed up with the Sri Lankan Airlines to organise
this unique festival, he adds.
The festival offers
an assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
starting from its popular Chicken Cadiugama, White
Fish Vinakiri Thial, Dress Crabs with Drumstick
leaves etc. For the ardent vegetarians, the festival
provides variety that includes Vegetable yellow
rice, Mixed Vegetable Curry, Young Mango Curry,
Plantain Flower Mellum, Long Beans Dry Curry, Potato
Mustard Curry & Tempered Beans.
For the sweet end to the meal relish Wood Apple
Mousse and Beli Cream Baramis.
