Rodas Ecotel's Green Team celebrates holi with orphan kids and eco-friendly colors

The Green Team of Rodas, the designer ecotel, celebrated holi in a unique way with orphan kids from "Home Of Love" an orphanage house using environment friendly herbal colors at Mini Golf, Hiranandani Powai.


Home of Love, an NGO, which takes care of orphan kids invited 20 such kids to be part of the celebrations. Head of the Green Team, Nilesh Limaye said, " Rodas is an environment friendly hotel with a social commitment. We felt there is no better way to celebrate holi, than with environment friendly colors and underprivileged kids. The gulal used manufactured by 'Suvarna - Herbal Gulal', which is produced by blending natural dyes extracted from wild herbs with natural ingredients. The end product is scented with essential oils to make it mildly fragrant. "


Said the environment officer Rajul Samel, "We at Rodas have always been in the forefront on environment issues and have a 'Green Team', which initiates special steps on environment and also educates the general public on the same. We run the largest private owned vermiculture pit in the city and have undertaken public awareness campaigns on days like 'World Earth Day', 'World No Tobacco Day', 'World Environment Day' etc. We also take special care to use only environment friendly products in our hotel."
