Rodas Green Team cleans up Powai lake after Ganesh immersions
The green team members of Rodas, the designer
ecotel at Hiranandani, Powai and seven other volunteers of
the hotel helped clean up Powai lake after the 11th day of
Ganpati immersions.

With the help of brooms, dusting equipment and garbage bags,
the flower offerings to Lord Ganesh, which were lying around
the lake and other garbage, were picked up. The total garbage
picked from the premises of the lake filled up 4 garbage bags.

The garbage was then carried over to the vermiculture pit
maintained by Rodas at Hirnandani. The vermicutlure pit turns
the garbage into organic manure, which can be used as natural
fertilizer. Says Sunny Sriram, General Manager, Rodas,"
We at Rodas have always been environment conscious and are
instrumental in bringing about a change in attitude towards
our surroundings. We clean up Powai lake every year after
Ganesh immersions and then convert the organic waste collected
from there in our vermicutlure pit which can be used as manure."
